Lookbook SS25The garment industry is a pretty rough place. It’s a polluting, low-cost driven business. Changing that is not easy. Almost impossible according to many. But you know what? Impossible is just a word until you give it a shot. That’s what we did at Stanley/Stella. In 2012 we started making premium, sustainable t-shirts. Because we believe it can be done. And today that contrarian, value-driven attitude is more alive and kicking than ever. We apply it in everything we do. And no, we can’t fix everything, and we realise the job is never done, but we do promise to give it our all, every day. By doing things differently. Like no other. Because that’s what we are. 1 Like no other2 Transform a blank canvas into a premium piece, that’s what design does. Tamsin Cook and her team refine over and over until every piece is absolutely perfect. A global brand should have eyes everywhere. Details are not a detail. They’re essential. How looking good can be sustainable. It doesn’t fit until it fits. We have our own spotters to check trends internationally, so we can design the right products for every region and every market. No loose threads, perfect stitch length, double stitching to keep your piece in shape. Details matter. If an embroidery can’t be perfectly applied with the lining in place, we insert an invisible secret zip so it can be done right. The relentless pursuit of perfection. If a t-shirt is well designed, you will wear it twice as long, which will reduce your footprint considerably. Our designers and developers work with professional fitting mannequins and real people to perfect every piece, ensuring no design is approved without real-world testing.3 Design Like no other — Perfection is our standard. Our design team never settles for less.4 Creating the perfect canvas. Try. Re-try. Test. Re-test. Repeat. Being a partner works better than being a supplier. Decoration starts way before the actual decoration. Grooming the cotton and getting the fabric just right. Just good is not good enough. Our dedicated team of five decoration experts never stops innovating: technology evolves, they test, try, refine, improve over and over again to get the perfect print or embroidery. We collaborate closely with our partners. We listen to their concerns and we make sure we know their trade as well as they do, because they need to be able to rely on our advice. Céline Dufour and her team perfect each piece for printing and embroidery: they research, test endlessly, listen to partners and become their trusted decoration advisers.5 Decoration Like no other — The perfect blank canvas, constantly re- fined by our innovative decoration test lab.6 At Stanley/Stella, responsibility to the planet and people is in our DNA. Michel Hublet and his Sustainability team take action, steadily reducing our footprint across the entire value chain while providing a positive impact to the workers. Starting from the very beginning. Waste unwasted. Taking care of the people who take care of the cotton. Reducing our footprint step by step by step. Caring about our values is sharing our values. Our engagement starts with the sourcing of the raw materials. By sourcing 100% organic cotton, we minimise our environmental footprint. Naturalness guides our decisions. We recycle our cotton fabric cutting waste, shredding it into yarn and blending it (50/50) with new virgin organic fibre to make new perfect fabric. In 2023, we recycled 175 tonnes of cotton. We also address plastic waste by only using recycled polyester in our outerwear. Waste becomes a resource when recycled. We want the people who work with us to appreciate working with us. Hand in hand with our partners, we strive to bring more positive impact for the workers and their communities. We care and are committed to making positive, responsible changes. 2024 marks the launch of our first-ever decarbonisation plan aiming to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2030. It’s a challenging task, but with our partners along the value chain, we’re committed to making it happen. We collaborate with like-minded farmer organisations, select partner factories and dealers who share our values and commitment to sustainability. Together, we can drive change faster.7 Sustainability Like no other — Less talk, more action.Next >
